Like for some Exner's work, I'm sometimes a bit dubious about Loewy's designs...

What seems to be body-colored bumper and headlamp bezels could indicate a 1983-91 model. Not a 2000-07 model for sure, as this latter has round headlamps again.
Read in the first linked page:
Quote 1983 proved to be a fantastic year with production reaching an all time high of 289 vehicles built.

In a country producing between 6 and 7 million cars a year at that time, such an enthusiastic viewpoint is refreshing :)

Yes, Studebaker built Avanti for the '63 and '64 model years before discontinuing it. The rights to the car and name were sold to an independent firm who built it entirely separately from Studebaker.
I'm not too familiar with post-Studebaker Avantis but I do know the brand passed through several different hands over the years.

Almost all is in the previous linked pages, but as no one never follows the links... :D
As said by Commander 57, Studebaker made the Avanti from 1963 until 1964:
Quote 1964 production was limited to 809 by the termination and shut down of auto production in the Studebaker South Bend facilities.

This was not the end of the Avanti as Studebaker Dealer Nate Altman and his business partner Leo Newman, determined to keep the car alive. Altman set about making this dream a reality by approaching every vehicle manufacturer in the US with his idea but none would take it on. Finally, he and his partner decided to undertake the task themselves. They formed the Avanti Motor Corporation and started when they purchased 6 buildings in the old Studebaker complex, including the original final assembly building for the Avanti. By July 1964 they had purchased all rights, equipment and remaining stock of parts from Studebaker [...]
Production began in 1965, with a total of 45 cars being constructed.

So, from what i understood, the owner of the make / builder of the model(s) was:
• 1962-64: Studebaker, with Avanti as model name;
• 1965-86: Avanti Motor Corporation. With apparently Avanti II as make, i.e. without model name??? The II disappeared from the 1983 model year onwards;
• 1986-91: Avanti Automotive Corporation. No production in 1986, and Avanti as name. Models were at least LSC (Luxury Sport Coupe), Convertible and 1990+ 4-door Touring Sedan. Maybe with a "simple" Coupe?
• 2000-07: Avanti Motors Corporation. The make name is still Avanti, with Coupe and Convertible as model names.
