The "upside-down arrow" badge behind the front fender indicates a Monza. On a Corsa, the badge would be higher up near the gas cap/filler door. |

Nice car, although I'm partial to the early models. Regarding the "bad reputation"... these cars got a bad rap due to Ralph Nader's claims in his book, Unsafe At Any Speed, which was later proved to be false by the Department of Transportation. |

I like the part on Reese Witherspoon's first ride in the Corvair, when she says to Mark Wahlberg, "Isn't this one of those cars that blew-up or something?" Mark (the villain in the story) says "Yes, but it's not her fault that they didn't put her together right." Later in the story, Reese's father drives a 65 Mustang Convertible, and we see a Mustang-Corvair (Good vs Evil) battle. The Mustang is cool, BUT the Corvair looks better. |
