Yes, Ford V3000. Nazi Germany origin, not USA. Maybe post war production. -- Last edit: 2015-12-04 16:14:33 |

From what I understand from this page, a 1942-45 3-ton B3000 or V3000S. The only difference is apparently due to the engine: the B3000 models, only available for the civilian market, had 4-cylinder engines (G 188 T factory code when gasoline powered, G 188 TG when using wood-gas) while V3000S had V8s (G 198 TS code). Whatever the model shown here, normal headlamps and fenders indicate a 1942 model. _____ Edit: Wikipedia.de says that the production was resumed from 1945 to 1948, indeed. The "1942 only fenders and headlamps" clue may not be accurate, then, if this after-war production reused the 1942 shape... -- Last edit: 2015-12-04 16:36:42 |

It was based on the 1940-41 US Ford trucks, so US origin. |

Yes, was based, but with some changes, so all of V3000 at IMCDB are described as Germany origin. |

Based means origin, for me. I'm not sure that a different engine and a one-piece windshield is enough to call it a new concept. What is set for now in the IMCDb could also be an error made on the first identified models which has been reproduced since. If so, another mass change has to be scheduled ![]() |
