If the model years were the same in Mexico as in the United States, it would be a 1993-94 Excel |

Hyundai only officially started selling vehicles in Mexico in 2014. They had an agreement with Chrysler to sell their vehicles as Dodges before that. I wonder if this was an American version that ended up in Mexico? All I am finding are newer models called Dodge Verna (still with the Hyundai H logo in their grilles). "Hyundai used to sell sedans in Mexico under a deal with Chrysler Group, which sold them under the more recognizable Dodge brand name. But that deal ended in 2013, when Hyundai decided it had enough brand recognition to go at it alone in Latin America." Link to "www.ibtimes.com" -- Last edit: 2015-12-04 21:10:57 |

I find this quote very strange, as Hyundai has been very popular in other Latin American countries such as Chile, Venezuela and Colombia for many years already. |

I found another article stating that the agreement with Dodge started in 2000: Link to "www.autonews.com" So again, not sure about a model from before then. Leaning more towards a border jumper. |
