The fender shape "betrays" clearly a model conceived, if not made, before the war. A Peugeot 202 U 'Ambulance' or a Citroën 15/6 'Fourgon Ambulance' (as long as this latter didn't exist only as scale model )? -- Last edit: 2015-12-15 00:33:47 |

A Traction ambulance would be very unlikely... And the front fenders are too wide for a 202... Maybe a 402 based ambulance ? Actually I think it's something more conservative, though. |

Why? The scale model maker may have used a real vehicle as model. And it wouldn't be the first time that a really scarce model appears in a movie... But thinking about it twice, the thing that don't fit with this idea, for me, is that the headlamp is not visible in the picture. If I'm not mistaken, the one of a Traction should appear between the fender and the hood. -- Last edit: 2015-12-15 05:28:23 |

Because of the unitary construction it's not so easy to make different body versions. Although some vans were made in Denmark and in France indeed some private conversions were made I've never seen a Traction ambulance other than a lwb Commerciale. Also the floor in the rear is relatively high, only necessary with a rear wheel drive car. |

Wouldn't the 1948+ Peugeot 202 U Ambulance linked above fit? |

The standard 202 U 'Paquet de Tabac' ambulances ahd shorter rear doors and a horizontal lower rear facia. And as I pointed out above I think that the fenders are too wide for a 202. |
