Chassis #501 and #502 built by Eggenberger Motorsport in Switzerland in 1985 for the 1985 ETC. Then dismantled and rebuilt in 1986 by Ring Auto Sport in Belgium and given new chassis numbers #601 and #602. Where 5 was for 1985 and 01 was the production order at Volvo. After 1986 they were scraped by Volvo since Volvo was folding from Group A and the cars didn't fill any purpose anymore. At the Macau Guia Race in 861123 the #601 car was driven by Thomas Lindström and the #602 car was driven by Johnny Cecotto. I'm not sure which one is seen in the picture. |
