Fortunately it seems it wasn't scrapped, just sold off by BKV (Budapest Transport Corp.), went into private ownership, and then was restored to some degree - repainted at least. |

This must explain why in movie it has more fresh paintwork (with side numbers in different place) than on the linked pics, where it was still in regular service. |
