I've never quite got why many Europeans have a block against the rubber bumpers on ANY euro cars and prefer the thin, wispy bumpers in EVERY case. |

This is an answer, which causes consternation for every real car connaisseur *facepalm* it's not only the bumpers, it's also the terrible headlights and the other lighting-junk. Because the ugly US-chunks destroy the design and the -sometimes classy- shape-line. It's not only a question of originality, it's also a much more important question of style and the capability to recognize style and design. |

Of course I still prefer the original version but the North American version isn't as bad as you make it out to be, but I know you like to exaggerate a little. ![]() |

The American versions of mid-70ies European and Japanese cars are worse than the original not only for optical reasons, but also for technical. Due the new emission-laws the engines are castrated and have lost a lot of power. IIRC there was one Britsh roadster, the MG "rubberboat" (also caused by US-laws) maybe, which ended up with less than 60hp. |
