Sorry, but it's wrong! Two different '58 Cadillacs are mixed on those pictures! The car on the first thumbnail (the big one) has two spears on the top of its hood upper the wreath emblem; the Fleetwood 60 Special doesn't have has the spears on the hood, they are located (one per side)on the top of the fenders upper the headlights bezels. Another item specific to the front fenders of the Fleetwood 60 Special are the grilles (one per side)located also on the top, at the back of the fenders. If you watch the movie, the scene starts at 34:56. When you watch closely at 35:04, you can see that the car has only the thin moldings on the center of the rear door and the quarter panel (the Sedan de Ville has a wider molding at this place), so it's a Series 62 Hardtop Sedan, model 6239E (extended deck), it has the longer quarter panel that can be seen at 35:16). Then, the thumbnails provided by 50sParis (Thanks !). The first one, no doubt, it's of course a Fleetwood 60 Special with its massive ribbed aluminium trim and fender skirts. From the second one to the last one, it's the Series 62 again. It's due to the "Cadillac" block letters on the fin instead of "Sixty Special" attached letters on pic # 2, the front fender side emblem on pic # 3, no discussion on pic # 4. |
