This is not entirely correct. The design that the Willys MB was based on was the more cost-effective Ford GP which then replaced the original Willys MA design - which itself was a development of the Bantam "Blitz Buggy". The hood was taken from the GP and given a pressed grille (also designed by Ford) - while retaining the more efficient Willys engine, and the MB was basically born. The later identical GPW did indeed have a W for Willys in the name, but Willys shouldn't take credit for the whole design. -- Last edit: 2016-01-25 22:34:24 |

I see no indication this is a GPW rather than the standard WWII MB... which is used as default. |
