Looks like old BMW or that Russian remake Dnepr? |

Dnepr...looks like MT-10 of '80's (by the position of turn-signal...) |

Is that the Dnepr model that had read somewhere on bike magazines had even a reverse gear??? |

I don't know about Dnepr, but Urals have reverse gears. |

Only newest Urals (made in 90s and 2k) have gearbox with reverse. Dneprs had reverse gear already in 1950s. And some models have and had 2 wheel drive which Urals again didn´t make until 1990s. Bike in the picture is Dnepr MT16. You can tell it by shape of valve cover (rectangular) and it has separate seats for driver and passanger. -- Last edit: 2009-11-28 10:51:38 |

Didn't Ural take over for Dnepr, who took over from IMZ? |

^No. Ural was produced not "taken over" by IMZ. Dnepr was launched on KMZ in 1946 separately. |

Couldn't see hack driveshaft, so MT-10, 11, 12, or 16 (if driveshaft quipped.) |

The question I have is how did a Soviet motorcycle complete with sidecar find it's way to a Canadian trailer park? Were they actually sold here like the Lada? |

Probably badged a Cossack if imported by SATRA who had premises in Toronto. |
