Could be a modified Land-Rover, or maybe a modified early Nissan Patrol, rather?

Too big for a Land-Rover chassis, rather some small truck like Austin K9. But so far I have no idea who made this rather unsophisticated looking vehicle.

I agree its too big for a Land Rover the wheels show its not on Land Rover axles, so its unlikely to be related. Probably a old truck with a custom body.

Leoz wrote Looks a lot like a Land Rover. This movie was filmed in Britain, so it would probablly be British or European.

The landscape doesn't look British... ;) So this scene was surely shot in *nitpicking modus on* "Southwest-Africa" - Namibia hadn't existed in 1965. *nitpicking modus off*

Yes, shot in Southwest-Africa. Typical dunes of the Namib-desert. Swakopmund is surrounded by the Namib. Sand everywhere around, except the street up to the North. There it's salt.

Austin Gipsy??

Can't see anything Gipsy, but that body could disguise most things. Wheels look too small for Gipsy or Landie.

Checking allcarindex, it's nothing from SW-Africa or ZA. Other highly unlikely possibilities are Swaziland and Lesotho??
