Pick'n'mix. From big thing on left, plate dates are AM = Jan 1904 to July 1919, XH = March 1921 to Jan 1922, ME = Nov 1921 to May 1923, MC = Aug 1917 to Aug 1920. No other view of this line-up. Good luck chaps! |

http://www.wikiwand.com/sv/Austin_Motor_Company AM30xx looks like an Austin 20hp, judging from the way that the body curves up at the back, but I wonder if there were any with wire wheels instead of artilleries. It also appears to have a Hackney plate on the back. The Wiltshire registration dates from 1913, the model appears to have been introduced in 1912, or it may be that the plate was retained when the car was changed. I do that with my car. http://www.simoncars.co.uk/morris/cowleybn.html The car to its left is a Morris Cowley, just compare the 3/4 elliptic back springs. -- Last edit: 2016-01-30 20:33:31 |

I couldn't possibly comment. Bought up by Singer in 1925, including Leo Shorter, who remained as Singer Chief Engineer for many years. Not to be confused with Calthorpe, who had a Minor years before Morris. Link to "www.motorbase.com" -- Last edit: 2016-02-03 12:46:10 |
