What are the differences between the 1989-1996 Cieras? I'm good at Buick Centuries, but not at Cieras. |

A lot of the changes to the Century also apply to the Ciera. The main changes that I can think of: 1990 - Front seatbelts change from regular ones mounted on B-pillar to door-mounted passive restraint. You will see the seatbelt hanging in the window. 1991 - Taillights change 1993 - Several exterior changes, bodyside/bumper trim changes from black to body color, world flags disappear from badge, little round badge behind rear door disappears 1994 - Steering wheel change for air bag (though I have pics of 1993s with both styles, midyear? optional?) 1996 - Cutlass is dropped, just Ciera, Oldsmobile badge over the driver's side headlight disappears These are the ones I know off the top of my head. I'm sure there are others that I'm missing. |

Just checking the brochures, Air Bags were standard on the SL in 1993 and optional on other models, in 1994 it was standard on all. ABS was also added in 1994 as a standard option, there is a badge on the rear deck for that. |

1992 seems to be the last year for the C-Pillar badge on the Ciera, but not on the Century not sure what's going on with this one.. -- Last edit: 2020-10-08 05:01:01 |
