truckface wrote It kinda looks like an old customized Scammel Crusader, but then again those are british. No, i`m thinking more of Mack Ultraliner or maybe even a Peterbilt.

The top cab and lights look like a Peterbilt Pacemaker. The body looks like an Heavily modified Hino FD with military truck wheels. :miam:

This is a Kenworth K100 from late 70`s or early 80`s, heavily modified for the movie. Note the windshield and door window at the close look.

This is one of the better movie trucks I've seen. Firstly, because it is cooler than a penguin's nutsack, and Secondly, because I genuinely can't tell what's under all that "armor".

Could be:

Kenworth K100 or K104
Mack Ultraliner or Cruiseliner
International I9800
White Road Commander
Western Star Commander 7564
Peterbilt 352 or 362
Ford 9000

and the list goes on...

But as a US movie (specially from this era) I could 99% guarantee that it would be a US truck brand, no European or Japanese stuff.

And I could 100% guarantee that it wasn't made for the film. Scratch-building a semi-truck would be so expensive that there would be NO budget left for the rest of the film. Even Michael Bay's "Transformers", which had a HUUUUUGE budget, bought a junky old truck and gave it a cosmetic make-over to play Optimus Prime. That ain't no new Peterbilt they used.

Kenworth K100`ish. Look here: http://www.studiosl.com/html/universal_soldier.html . And some stills of the scale model: http://www.wolfganghart.de/modelltrick/universal_s/pops/page1.htm

Finally, no more years of contemplating.

Make on heck of a Nemesis Prime in the Transformers movies. Plus cab over I love cab overs, I like other types but it is hard to describe my love of a cab over. Maybe thanks to my cousin who had a bronze with blue stripe tonka sized one as a kid and of course I loved Optimus in his G1 design but let's face it any Simi-truck is awesome as Prime.
