2013 registration in NZ. The Regius name seems to have been used on different bodies; this one looks like a HiAce but there were also narrow body Grandvias with Regius badges. |

It's exactly the same as the Hiace - in Japan often the same models are sold under different names to allow them to be sold at multiple dealership chains. The Granvia type vans are not produced any longer so the Regius nameplate was transferred to an identical van to the Hiace. |

Odd name. Never heard of these before. https://www.toyodiy.com/parts/q?vin=TRH200-0022882 |

It's the Hiace's sibling offered at a different Toyota dealer network. I'm sure some of the post-1999 Hiace Vans and Commuters listed here are actually RegiusAces, but without a visible badge or a searchable chassis ID it's impossible to tell. |

Gotta give the dealer chains something different from each other... Not that it matters anymore since that practice was axed last year. |

i guess you're used to it ( or since they stopped doing it , was used to it ).. i don't see why different Toyota dealers would be selling different products.. i don't really see myself going to Toyota and get : " sorry sir, if you want a Corolla you have to go to the other dealer at the other end of the city .. " .. -- Last edit: 2021-02-11 04:28:00 |

To which that salesman would add: "In the mean time, would you like to have this Sprinter? It's essentially the same car ;)" (At least before the name was phased out) |
