This entry is for the ambulance (Barkas?) but if the police car is more interesting, here is picture from set:![]() |

I think the ambulances are rather both Škoda 1203s while the police car is a probably a Moskvitch 408 or 412. |

Okay, you are right. In real life those were pre-Facelift models because it was 1973 and the Facelift came in 1985. (http://www.capitalpunishmentuk.org/truck2.jpg) But they could have used facelift models for filming. ![]() According to my source for information on rescue cars, Prague still uses those old fashioned ambulances! But they only use facelift models. And here is how czechoslovakian sirens sounded in the 70s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDJkOOpw7XE Yes, the Tesla AZD501 was very prominently used in James Bond, but the sirens are wrong in the original. That Youtuber edited the original footage with real czech sirens. |

Similar looking roof light was used already before the 1980s: /vehicle_871849-Skoda-1203-Sanita-Typ-997-1968.html The car on the right can be 1980s (for sure it is 1978+), the one on the bottom of the screen is 1974 or later (including much later) model. |

So my source Seems to be wrong. Earliest appearance on Television for That siren is 1974. But that still leaves the Option that they used the more Common facelift Model. (sorry for capitalization. I am writing with mobile Phone) |

Surprisingly this was not in the movie. That counts as "only in Trailer", right? |
