Looks like a June 94 SEi limited edition in Nightfire red (also offered in Tahiti Blue and Metallic Racing Green and 3 or 5 door; became full production model in Dec 94 without grey lower body side until all R8 ended in Dec 95).

Your photo car K752 HKY started as a Kennings fleet car from the plate, registered in Sheffield and distributed from their national HQ in Chesterfield. I had K599 and K563 FKY on lease from Kennings at various stages during 1993, both 214 Si. Plus K307 DKW and K297 DWG, both 214 SLi - Kennings only did 214 versions as far as I know - never 216 or the diesels - but there were several hundred at least (maybe into the thousands) and rigidly auctioned off after 6 months. -- Last edit: 2016-02-23 17:11:58
