In a 2016 Hollywood blockbuster, its fate is sealed... |

The destruction of this car is the exact reason I will NOT see this movie. There is no reason to use this rare old car. None. It is completely out of place. Such a car is NOT part of the scenery in that region. Again, they went out of their way to use an unrealistic car. We need to do a much better job writing letters and boycotting these filmmakers. |

Good news, only "dents in the roof" it says here: "There’s one that appears in a major fight scene in the new Ghostbusters film that will be out this summer. It can be seen in the trailer for the film. I worked on the film and that car sustained a few dents in the roof. Not sure what they did with it after filming was finished. I’m sure that it wasn’t on loan from a collector as some other cars in the scene weren’t jumped on lol." PaulieB @ Link to "blog.hemmings.com" |

I think it was in the movie as an in-joke. It was the model car Melissa McCarthy drove in "The Heat" (2013) /vehicle_635633-Rambler-Classic-1966.html |

Not only is the scene not worthy of using a vintage vehicle of this type, but it's in a HORRIBLE movie to begin with. Even if this scene wasn't present I STILL wouldn't watch this hot pile of garbage ![]() Plus who the hell would abandon such an old vehicle, no matter what make or model? -- Last edit: 2017-07-19 03:41:24 |

Hollywood just doesn't care about cars, antique or otherwise. Never has and likely never will. |
