That car was seriously the only highlight of the movie. Too bad they wrecked it ![]() |

With such wheels, it deserved it ![]() |

Because spinners (really, any wheels so large) take what wasn't exactly a paragon of safety to begin with, and make it even more dangerous to everyone on the road. I'm all for natural selection (the morons who buy these aren't going to be doing much to further society anyways), but I'm against the collateral damage associated with the inevitable wreck. |

Pics of the destruction? Don't want to sit through a bad movie to see it |

Beyond being a distraction, they also make the vehicle less safe to drive. All large wheels do, really - the extra weight, especially unsprung weight, destroys the already terrible handling something like a Navigator might have. Also, because they're stupid-heavy, they're more likely to break any variety of suspension or axle bits (another accident risk, right?). And, again, since the engine has to work harder, it's going to burn more fuel, polluting the air worse than normal. |

In addition, most of the people who install these oversized rims do not think to, or can't afford to install oversized brake rotors or higher capacity calipers. The end result is catastrophic. I wouldnt want me or anyone I care about anywhere around one of these things when it has to make a panic stop or evasive manuever at in town speeds, let alone highway speeds. |

Not only for the spinners, but also because there big chrome wheels look awful ![]() |
