Random coincidence - I came across a reference to Antonio “Little Tony” Ciacci (also a 60s popsinger - big in Italy but only one minor hit in UK) a couple of weeks back. Seems he was a devotee of Italian exotics - he was the first owner of 1962 Maserati 5000GT Allemano chassis #103.026. After various adventures it was fully restored in 2009 and is now a well-known UK-based car and registered EBY 533B - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFcav2Y4cAc . Its other claim to fame is that it was owned by Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh in the 1970s in USA and inspired his lyric "My Maserati does one-eighty-five I lost my licence, now I don't drive …… I have a mansion, forget the price Ain't never been there, they tell me it's nice" in his 1978 hit Life’s Been Good. |

Only one year old, the car looks worn and her tail seems to be damaged... Little Tony owned also three Miuras in total. -- Last edit: 2016-03-17 17:01:03 |
