Should be origin Italy instead. Many Relay/Jumper/Boxer are still listed under France but should be Italy. Likewise all the FIAT and Lancia branded Eurovans and the Scudos should be under France instead of Italy. |

I'd agree with you, but it's a controversial subject. There is not much detailed information, but I think there is enough to prove this theory. For Mk1 Ducato/C25/J5/Express: For Mk2 Ducato/Jumper/Relay/Boxer: For the Mk3, at least the styling is credited to Mike Robinson during his time as Design Director at Fiat, as it can be seen from his CV. As for the Eurovans, again Car Design Archives report on two rejected Fiat proposals from 1987, stating that: This is about the Mk1, but it is highly likely that the Mk2 is also a French design, given the amount of PSA components - my family owned a Citroen C8 for years and I couldn't find a single part that reminded me of a Fiat production (ok, this is not what you call a proof ![]() No doubt for the Mk3 and Mk4, as the Mk3 project didn't involve Fiat (who instead rebadged the Renault Trafic) and the Mk4 was badged as a Fiat only after the launch of the French (and Toyota) siblings -- Last edit: 2024-11-25 23:35:35 |

Not to mention they are built in Italy and production is split at 65% for Fiat and 35% for PSA. They already are ![]() Well, I think the components are not a bad argument, especially is one is much more prevalent than the other ![]() |

From my understanding the design and R&D mostly occurred in Italy, with France being tasked to design/engineer the smaller vans. |
