Can't be excluded could be an Italian,CKD-made R4 made by Alfa Romeo under license thru 1962 to 1965(if that, was assembled into same Alfa's plants in Naples where they assembled also Romeo vans and Mille heavy trucks of period)

È possibile, l'azione avviene in Sicilia.

If there would be a picture of the back of the car, we might be sure... : rearlights were different on Alfa-built R4s. Between frontwheel and windshield appears some chrome instead of the orange indicator (like on Alfa R4), so I'm afraid, this is a more recent version, just Renault :/

D'autant plus qu'on distingue le marquage du modèle "Renault 4" sur l'aile avant droite. Ce qui est un indice de plus pour faire penser à une version "post'67".

I had said that'cause in Italy into Sixties'early original French-made R4 don't were much more diffused at that times(Alfa assembled ones don't carry outside none sign that suggests a license-made-Renault-by-Alfa Romeo;for distinguish it,red side indicator flashers was placed on front fenders and at back tail lamps were replaced by...Fiat 1100 D-alike optical groups!!!)

PS Had a 1965 Italian-printed owner handbook of R4(find into Eighties'near a local Renault's Dealer)and on cover shown just the R4 assembled in Italy by Alfa Romeo, with all outside modifications atop described(the same photo was reprinted into Nineties' on an issue of 1992 old cars magazine"Auto d'Epoca",in a wide article on R4 story)

Also in the italian classic car magazine Ruoteclassiche #154 (Ottobre 2001) you can find a detailed issue on Alfa/Renault 4 ("Elisir di eterna giovinezza")

Yes DatzunZ, I read ruoteclassiche, but I've got just 4 issues of this marvellous magazine. It's not available in Holland, so I just try to get it when I'm in Italy ;) But I'm more often in France :/
