Audi Fox or Volkswagen Dasher... |

Dasher would mean the American version of the Passat. |

Yes. From this angle not visible, if Dasher or Fox. |

Alloys are typical VW. |

This means not much, as it's not unlikely, that they were changed. Especially at a rough clunker as this one. btw.: these are the common steel rims, not alloys. |

At the time Audis and VWs had the very same alloys. What's makes me think more about a Dasher is the plain fully black door handle. The Audi 80/Fox had a bit of chrome on it if I remember well. -- Last edit: 2016-05-11 22:27:42 |

They used similar door handles, chrome with black plastic inserts: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/74dasher/scan0003.jpg The flat mirror makes it an early model (up to 1976). I think the absence of a Fox fender logo, makes it lean more towards the Dasher. Looks like it's Topaz Metallic, which came out in 1976 for the Dasher. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/76dasher/scan0016.jpg -- Last edit: 2016-05-11 22:44:10 |

So, shall we list it as a '76 VW Dasher ? |
