This is a bit too big to be a Mannheim. the Mannheims were 3.5 litre models. The seperated front side lamps suggest that it is a Mercedes Nurburg. The Nurburgs were 4.6 and 4.9 litre models. This would be a cabriolet D. The D suffix denoted a four door model http://www.lehn.ru/auto.phtml?p_type=80 http://www.motorbase.com/vehicle/by-id/-1001846999/ -- Last edit: 2007-03-05 04:34:28 |

Than it is the last second version (1932-1939) from the 8cyl Nürburg. His name is now 'Typ 500' without Nürburg (or 500 without Typ?). http://www.autogallery.org.ru/mb500w08.htm http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_W08 http://www.autogallery.org.ru/k/m/mbo3661.jpg |

We have two other W08 that were listed as "Nürburg 460" rather than "Typ 460" in front of it, though that one of these was identified as "Typ 460", I do not know what is the correct name for this one and the others, but I would list it as just "500" rather than "Typ 500" if it is not a Nürburg. -- Last edit: 2007-03-05 11:57:28 |

Still, whatever, it is not a D Cabriolet, which has wind up windows and a more substantial hood (head, Verdeck). this is the Open tourer made by 'Sindelfingen', which is Mercedes themselves. |

The car is a Mercedes-Benz 500 Nürburg Offener Tourenwagen. |
