Comment une voiture d'une photo peut être "utilisée" ![]() Et il me semble que c'est soit Nash Metropolitan, soit Rambler Metropolitan, mais pas Nash Rambler Metropolitan... -- Last edit: 2007-03-06 10:53:46 |

Nash Metropolitan (in the movie they speak about a Nash) |

It looks like a European (French?) location with R16 and Peugeot 204 in background, so US name does not apply even if someone in the film says Nash - simply a Metropolitan? Looks like 1956+ my S3 1500 which had 2-tone and chrome side strip - 1959+ S4 had front quarterlights. -- Last edit: 2011-06-01 19:23:50 |

After the end of Nash and Hudson following the 1957 model year, Metropolitans were listed as a stand-alone marque. Not Nash, Hudson, Rambler or AMC. Simply "Metropolitan", mark of brevity. I'll leave the listing as 1961 but would like to know how that was concluded. Looks like it might have vent wings making it a '59 to '62 but beyond that, I know of no way to differentiate. -- Last edit: 2011-06-01 21:14:43 |

All production went to US/CDN until Austin got permission in 1956 to sell the Metropolitan elsewhere in markets which American Motors were absent. UK launch in April 57 during the "Series III" period and sales in other markets including parts of Europe seem to have started about the same time. |
