In Greece they have a Biamax bodymaker (they use mainly MB chassis), but I'm not sure is it one of them. Edit. Yes it is one of them - probably a Biamax R514, now I've found a picture. ![]() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biamax -- Last edit: 2007-03-07 19:36:24 |

The badge on the front certainly looks like "Biama" (with the last letter cut off). Update: Definitely a Biamax: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:BIAMAX_R514.jpg -- Last edit: 2007-03-07 19:37:20 |

Can we consider this as a Greek bus rather than a German one? As only the chassis and not the whole vehicle has German origin, I would switch to Grece (like the VanHool busses with Belgian origin though that they use Volvo or MAN chassis). What do you think? |

I asked the Greeks at www.leoforeia.gr/forum . This is what "tangalos2002" had to say. http://www.leoforeia.gr/forum/index.php?showtopic=299 Τουριστικό Biamax R514 (μεταξόνιο 5,14m) αυτοφερόμενο με κινητήρα και λοιπό εξοπλισμό Mercedes. Tourist bus Biamax R514 ( wheelbase 5,14m) chassisless and Mercedes drivetrain. σχεδιάστηκαν από τον μεγάλο σχεδιαστή-αρχιτέκτονα της Biamax Αντώνιο Ρίζο (εξ ου και το R). It was designed by Biamax great Greek designer Antonios Rizos (R stands for Rizos) -- Last edit: 2008-01-14 06:41:30 |
