YES! The first DongFeng ZX!!! I don't know if it's spelled correctly... Is it called Fukang or ZX Fukang? -- Last edit: 2007-03-08 00:15:28 |

As far as I know Chinese cars, I agree with you. It is definitely one of the Citroen ZX-based ones |

Only Fukang according to catalogues. Isn't the make a DongFeng-Citroen? BTW. What with the make Shenlong which probably was used at the beginning of the cooperation beetween DongFeng and Citroen? -- Last edit: 2007-03-08 00:54:38 |

The black bumpers define this as the second cheapest model of the 5-door hatchback model, the Dongfeng Fukang RT. Cheapest model is called RP and doesn't have go-faster stripes. There's also a 4-door saloon-with-boot-version available (988) and a panelvan-version which seems to be called either EQ1010F or N15 (http://www.citroen.mb.ca/citroenet/foreign/china/fukang/fukang-01.html) |

Strange that we still did not had one, as it seems quite common there. By the way, I hope that we will some day find in a movie/series a chinese Citroën C2 : it is a Peugeot 206 with Citroën front |

Currently, the name appears to be Dongfeng Citroen Fukang: http://www.citroen.com.cn/CCW/citroen/en/NewCars/PresentationVN?model=FK1 |

The origin should be rather chinese, same with Shanghai-VW, not? The make is different. |

Nice find Garco!! You have got to get a conversion kit for you're own 206 Strange indeed, they are really quite common there. And although this has been replaced by the Xsara sedan, there are plenty of variants made on the ZX built in China see here http://www.citroenet.org.uk/foreign/china/bootleg-zx/bootleg.html. One of the Chinese build I like the most is this one... http://www.citroenet.org.uk/foreign/china/wuling/wuling.html It is actually built by the Dongfeng Citroën Automobile Company, a joint venture set up by Citroën...so it is partly a Citroën after all... see for more info here: http://www.citroenet.org.uk/foreign/china/2003/01/china01.html -- Last edit: 2007-03-08 20:27:58 |

Unlike some specially Chinese models like the Citroën Élysée, that ZX is just a local build of the French ZX, no? I would still consider it as a French car. It is not the only case when the make is different when exported/made in another country. -- Last edit: 2007-03-08 20:58:27 |

Yes, it is. |

With '-' or without? |

Yes, in case of ZX hatchback maybe I can agree (mainly because seems that this J.V. was created from the initiative of Citroen), but there are other cars which really should has a Chinese origin. /vehicle.php?id=92200 -- Last edit: 2007-03-11 16:58:34 |

As there are so many comments on this car, I will leave this one star vehicle on an entry. |
