The year-by-year changes on the car fluctuate from episode to episode, but it's often portrayed with the 1967 and later front end. It's got the earlier front end in some of the pictures you've posted, but even that isn't consistent. It's an older Beetle (mid 1967 and earlier) here and in the original "Nazo" opening, but again, I've mostly seen it with the later front end elsewhere. The Beetle at the Aoyama museum is a post 1972, as is the official model kit. Both are actually Super Beetles, which were only built from 1971 to 1980. Anyway I guess the point I'm making is not that you're wrong (if these pictures were all that we had to go on, I'd actually say that you're at least in the ballpark), just that the details on this Beetle are so wildly inconsistent that it's probably best not to try to peg any one year to it.
