Is this set in ZA?? I don't think it's a UK-based Ford. |

In Southwest Africa. The details of the building in the background looking like German colonial architecture. |

I've changed my mind about UK Ford. 1954 Prefect 100E looks like a good match. Local assembly possible, but no definite info one way or the other. |

When you look here for "Ford", "origin UK" and "made in ZA", is the oldest one a 1959 Zephyr. |

.... so only a few years gap. wiki only lists UK, Aus, NZ and Singapore for Prefect 100E assembly, so I'll probably have to admit defeat for now. Edit: Prefects were built in Rhodesia, apparently supplying "eastern and southern Africa". -- Last edit: 2023-12-14 03:48:57 |
