It was called (as far as I know) DKW F89 L. Maybe the word "furgoneta" was given as an extra name? |

It all depends on the year .Postwar DKW vans were coded F 89 L from 1949 to 1954 (engine from the F8 car 688 cc 20 hp , first 3 speed 1949-1952 , then 4 speed 1952-1954).In 1954 and 1955 engine capacity was increased to 792 cc and 30 hp and those were coded F 800.In 1955 the 3 cylinder engine of 869 cc and 32 hp was introduced and all vans up to the last produced in 1962 were coded F 800 /3. The one here looks a Spanish produced unit but year is hard to tell.Anyway a DKW Schnelllast Kastenwagen.Call all DKW fans. |

I refer to Raul1883's comment on the similar DKW with pickup body elsewhere on this site under DKW , indicating that IMOSA Spain ( Industrias del Motor SA )was producing DKW vans as from 1960 with a someone more potent engine ,a 40 hp ,than in Germany. That would make this one a late 1960-1962 Spanish 3 cylinder F 800/3 |
