albertine ◊ 2017-04-17 21:09	Yes, this is a Renault 206E1, most probably from 1946. Curiously it appears to carry elements of a Dauphine front bumper on its radiator grille. The name "Goélette" appeared in the late 1950's, as far as I know the common name before was "1000 KG" (mille kilos), may be our french friends can confirm this. I happen to be the owner of one of the very few 206E1 that still exist. Only about 9.500 pieces have been built from may 1945 till the end of 1946 and most of them were used intensively and then scrapped. Their chassis was very solid but their body was not, as it still used a wooden frame with steel panels attached to it. After a couple of years these panels literally fell off the rotten wooden frame. The successor of the 206E1 - being the first version of this type of van - was called R2060, which was entirely made of steel (without wooden frame) from approximately 1950 onwards. This type of van was built under different names with technical improvements until 1966, the total production number was about 250.000.
