 first ideas are either Suzuki Escudo/Vitara or Isuzu Amigo ( which probably has another name in Japan )
at least, its what the pillar makes me think of..

Isuzu's pillar is thicker, and tailights touches the side of it...maybe a little bit more Isuzu than Suzuki....

 I agree with Isuzu Amigo, which was called Isuzu MU (2 door) and MU Wizard (4 door) in Japan.
