Before the paint job- And when they wreck the hell out of it- BTW, the last three photos of the wrecked Caddy appears to be an early 60s model. |

God, they should have been shot for this! Modell, how can you tell the wrecked car is a 1960? |

The tailfins are lower, which leads me to believe that they used an early 60s Caddy for the one in its totally dilapidated state. |

Funny how the front plate says "FIXER", because after the abuse that car went though they would have to "FIX HER" |

I see what you mean but it still hurts |

It's definitely a 59. The bullet tail lights in the fins were that year only. |

The pink Cadillac referred to in this Hemmings article in "Wise Guys" directed by Brian De Palma and starring Danny Devito was my car! I had just completed a restoration on a 1959 Cadillac convertible – Silver with red interior and a white... top. A gentleman from Brooklyn responded to my ad selling the car and he came up to look at the car. We negotiated on the price of the car and then he told me he was doing a movie and he needed additional parts. He ordered 3 front fender, 3 doors, bumpers, rear fenders, back bumpers, a few more windshields, and dash boards. He then explained to me that the vehicle was going to have several accidents and he needed to have the replacement parts on hand. I was able to fill the order and sold the car and the parts. I waited anxiously for the movie to be released. To my surprise, they had repainted the car pink and redid the interior in white, and changed the glass from tinted to clear for photography purposes.
