WC 63 weighs in about 8500 lbs!!! Quite the load especially when loaded w/ cargo. I think Dodge started marketing the "Power Wagon" in 1946 w/ the WDX. I know many of these military Dodge trucks share the flat fender Power Wagon "look" (WC's & M37) but I don't think they were ever officially called Power Wagons. |

They did. I remember an article "Collectible Automobiles" where they featured a 1946 Power Wagon. Seems Dodge sold "civilized" military trucks under that label that were not longer needed by the army. |

The civilized flat fender "Power Wagons" of 1945-46 through the early 1970's were different (improved)from the earlier military models. Again I don't think Dodge called the WWII trucks Power Wagons, that all started after '45. Very common term for a military Dodge 4x4 but not correct...just like "jeep" and "Jeep". No "Jeeps" until after WWII when all the "jeeps" were built. |
