Yeah, Zodiac IV, don't think it has the extra jewellery of an Executive.

Interesting that it says 'Ford unknown' in the head line, the de Tomaso had a Ford engine if I recall this correctly.

I believe the right one is a Mk IV Zodiac because of the dual head lights, but the white one might be a Zephyr.

1966 Ford Zodiac MkIV [3012E] it has signet of Executive in grille centre but no foglights under bumper and no chrome under doors
nor script on hood to the left

@andrepa:

What do you mean with "...no chrome under doors..."?

Looks like a 69-70 H plate, by when ordinary Zodiac had accumulated extra trim to approach Executive. Another white behind.

@zodiac
the Executive should have strips of chrome on the side skirts "Schweller" in german, so i unfortunately worded under the doors
as my BMW has chrome under the doors inside to cover holes :D i often wondered what the correct english name could be, threshold?
As it is an important part of the structure especially with Convertibles, often has to be welded to get TÜV again

@andrepa: I think what you meant is the 'rocker panel' as it described at Wikipedia:

Wikipedia wrote The body section below the base of the door openings sometimes called the "rocker panels", or "sills".

@andrepa:

That is what I thought you meant. The reason for asking was that I didn't see a side strip on the car in your link.

After some thinking, I believe you are on to something when you state that all Executive Zodiac's had that side strip, but I also belive the one in your link is wrongly named. After all it says just 'Zodiac' on the hood/bonnet where it should have said 'Executive'. Link https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Ford_Executive_December_1967_2994cc.JPG .

Agree all Mk4 Executive had the chrome strip under door and ordinary Zodiacs did not. However the linked picture from Andrepa to Link to "www.favcars.com" is problematic - XHK 400F was a genuine issue Ford factory plate and I think shows a mock-up/pre-pro Executive (fogs, grille star, the raised logo on the bonnet vent) but before final detailing applied (the chrome strip and bonnet badge). So it is not a reliable photo to work from.
