Does the secret compartment for the two revolvers belong to the standard configuration of a 1938 Plymouth? ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2008-08-30 12:31:44 |

Love Bogart's taste in cars. Roy Earle drives a 38 Plymouth coupe in High Sierra. |

This is my favorite Bogie and Bacall movie (their second together) and one of my all-time favorite movies!! The plot has you doing somersaults trying to figure out who killed who--and even the writers couldn't remember who killed the chauffer! ![]() Love this car they chose to have Marlow (Bogie) drive...it's the perfect 40's privae eye car. And of course the secret compartment for the guns...if we all could have that! ![]() -- Last edit: 2010-02-09 07:16:08 |

"Does the secret compartment for the two revolvers belong to the standard configuration of a 1938 Plymouth?" Nope - it was a $4.95 extra-cost option. |

Back in 1940, you would get almost 50 packs of Chesterfield cigarettes for that price... |
