Yes it very well could be, hard to tell with all the insignias removed... |

Wasn't it a "screaming chicken"? |

Dwight's Pontiac appears in various episodes from series 2 onwards (haven't seen series 3 or 4 yet), so I think it's better to list as 2.* rather than a specific epiosde number, to show that series 2 was where it first began to appear. This is what I did with The Sopranos and some other TV shows I've added. |
◊ 2008-02-15 18:21 |
The number also indicates where the photo was taken from, not just where the car appears in, if its not included along with the main pic i think we should point it out in a comment. |
◊ 2008-02-15 18:26 |
I just thought it might give the impression that the car only appeared in one episode (and Dwight's car appeared before episode 2.12), but now I think about it, maybe it is better that the episode number refers to the origin of the image. What does everyone else think? |
◊ 2008-02-15 18:30 |
Well with my series ive always writen the number because i dont want to forget where the picture was taken from, in the chases like you and some other that add the season with no number when the car appears in the ehole season i think it would be good to write in bold where the picture is from in a comment, both are ok as long as we note it, or in the main pic or in a comment. -- Last edit: 2008-02-15 18:33:07 |

The episode field is indeed intended to indicate from where comes the capture (like for the time-tag field, even if the car is seen more than once). As you said, a comment can then be made to precise if the car is seen in other episodes. |

Right. I think originally when I first came to this site (before I was an admin), I gave a list of vehicles that appeared in The Sopranos, and because at first there weren't any pictures to go with the listings, they were entered as 1.* etc. And that's where I got the idea of doing that for cars that appeared frequently in various episodes! |

I used to think the time tag was more for 2-star and 1-star vehicle that made a brief appearance in the film (so a person would know where to look in the film) rather than 3 and 4 star vehicles which are far more noticeable. |

I put it to all cars of which I make a capture, it can always be useful to know from where the capture was taken (e.g. if I need to check if a car partially visible is more visible in the same scene, see if a detail is more visible few frames before/after, ...) |

I guess I'd better make some changes to some of my pages... |

If anyone still cares, it's a standard Trans-Am, not a GTA. The fenders (you can see in the first pic modell posted a couple posts back) have cut-outs. These are not found on the GTA. Another clip I just saw showed a silver bird on the hood. This is definitely not standard GTA although a few sick individuals have done this to such a car. |

Definitely just a Trans Am (as Coda explained above) but it has the optional digital dash. Pretty cool. |

It is a 1987, because in one episode (can't remember which) Dwight and Andy are talking about it in the elevator. Andy says: "1985 called and they want their car back." and then Dwight says: "Well, 1985 must have a time machine because my car is an 87." |

While it is a nice screenshot, Picture 7.17 Does Not belong here. It is of the late model Chrysler Sebring used in the show. Note the more complex Review Mirror, The visor has locking clips, the little black windshield washer spout and extra creases on the hood, the dash cluster hump, and the inside window seal pieces are tan instead of black. -- Last edit: 2015-04-28 07:56:41 |
