Single headlight could be a 57 Monarch. |

I'd say it's a Montclair. |

It is an early model US Mercury of model year 1957 with the two headlights .Quad headlights were authorised in several States later in the year. Could be a Monterey a Montclair or a Wagon, would need a more complete view of the car to find out.Certainly not a Canadian Monarch. |

Was Meteor the Canandian Ford and Monarch was the Canadian Mercury? Btw. You linked to one of my top 3 or 4 50s cars of all time: The 1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser. I love the ventiports, the Breezeway, and the gold merucry "M" on the grille, and gold anodized aluminum trim down the side. Plus the front bumper, which matches the rear, must weigh 80 pounds or so . -- Last edit: 2007-04-04 07:49:35 |

Yeah, I now remember that it was a canadian Mercury model, so it's not that because the grille is a little different on them like in the last link, well I have a book that has a single headlight 57 Mercury Montclair. |
