Why Made for AUS? The data pulled from Carjam by @dhill_cb7 states that it's NZ New instead of "Imported from Australia" which means this car was first sold in NZ despite the Aussie destination on the build sheet. -- Last edit: 2022-02-12 02:21:55 |

Because the car was Australian specs registered in NZ. This can happen to new cars in NZ. Importers will take cars (even new JDM ones) and import them to NZ. Edit: without ever registering them in the home country. Basically the car is new and the importer buys the car before being sold in the specific market. @jnglmpera here is a NZ spec car registered new there: /vehicle_657236-Toyota-Corolla-ZZE122-2003.html note there is ‘t a country specific destination. The made for tag would apply though because of the trim level on the back. Don’t recall that trim in JDM? -- Last edit: 2022-02-12 04:42:47 |

Hmm... I assumed the AUS destination was a catch-all destination for all Oceanian countries with RHD ![]() |
