We knew it as a Datsun 1600 - date around 1970.

I think they were called B610 in US but they were Datsun 1600 in Australia as well

But a car from Israel would be left hand drive, and not suitable for Uganda. I've also seen stripes like that in photos from South Africa and Zimbabwe, so perhaps the habit has spread up from southern Africa.

And the Soviet-made army trucks. Perhaps some of the vehicles were brought to Uganda by the film crew.
