Citroën DS Break Full name may include "DS20" or "ID" or something... |

Parallel whipers and narrow air intakes under the bumper: 1965 ID 19 F. |

Where does this "F" come from?.. never seen that, is it a german designation? |

Very good question... Found it in Jan de Lange's "De Snoek - Citroën ID/DS in Nederland". Normally, Jan de Lange is very well informed, but it's true, I couldn't find this "F" in René Bellu "Toutes les Ciroën". So it's probably just a Jan-de-Lange-typification or typical dutch... But anyhow, it might be better to call this car a 1965 Citroën IF 19 Break (without "F"). -- Last edit: 2007-04-07 00:34:45 |

IF 19 not ID 19 then? Well, R.BELLU "Toutes les Citroen" is quite well informed too, though it can happens some lacks sometimes ... maybe the F was for Familiale in some other markets like Holland or Germany, who knows |

Who knows? but I made a mistake, writing IF 19 Break instead of ID 19 Break, as you will have noticed... |

But it should replace "Break" then? Or do we just remove the "F" as it is not sure? |
