Chevrolet Step Van/GMC Value Van |

Could we list this as GM P-Series? |

The grille bar is still thin enough that this can be considered the Chevy. |

@ Ddey65: Can you please stop repeating endlessly this "info"? The grille bar was the same for both makes... @ rjluna2: For now, the IMCDb uses Chevrolet as default make. Dual rear wheels: a 1968-91 Chevrolet P-30 or a GMC P-3500. The fender badge isn't visible, so impossible to narrow down the model year range. → Chevrolet Step-Van P-30 |

What's wrong with GM P-Series as general make/model? /vehicles.php?make=GM&model=P-Series&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=on -- Last edit: 2017-01-18 14:09:37 |

@rjluna - What you referenced are buses, specifically buses that are called Thomas Mighty Mites Link to "en.wikipedia.org" The above vehicle is a cargo van, a wholly different animal |

Indeed, they are both GM based P-Series that can be sold as whole and chassis only supcoach. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-stop_truck#Manufacturers |

@ rjluna: Feel free to propose a new default identification, I'll support you ![]() @ supcoach: P-10 to P-30 for Chevrolet, P-1500 to P-3500 for GMC: doesn't it mean GM P-Series? ![]() Once again please search a bit before writing "information": ![]() ![]() (1984 Step-Van brochure excerpt // 1980 GMC Value Van brochure excerpt) By the way: as GMC model, this Value Van is a P-3500 model, as explained in my previous comment. -- Last edit: 2017-01-23 22:28:10 |

@elmer -@ supcoach: P-10 to P-30 for Chevrolet, P-1500 to P-3500 for GMC: doesn't it mean GM P-Series? ![]() Once again please search a bit before writing "information": Yes, I know that it is a P-Series, generically.(which I rarely put or used to in the past, but not now) All I was trying to say is that you want specifics with regards to what the vehicle is, if possible. What rjluna cited, yes is a P-Series, BUT it is also a specific model made by a certain company and would be referred to as such and not as a GM P-Series |
