The STE came out in 1983, so this can't be an '82. The car has the correct front end for an STE model, and first appears with these black steelies and whitewall tires when it passes in front of two taxis (to the viewer, it appears in the background of the scene), then in the next cut it has the correct STE wheels on the right side (roughly 2 seconds before this frame). Those wheels are then switched back to the steelies and whitewalls that you see in this frame, possibly to simulate another generic looking grey midsize sedan in the traffic jam. |

To me the picture makes the car look like it has the 1987-1988 styling... with the composite headlights. |

At first glance, it made me think it was composite headlight, but I realized that I can see the split between low beam and high beam headlights. So, 1983 would be a correct model year... |

The car is an 83 to 85 6000 STE. Only the STE had the fog lights built into the grille. What's missing is the wheels that come with the STE model. |
