This is a 1981 Silver Eagle Model 10. At first I thought it could be either an 05 or an early 10. The 1981 was a transition year for Eagle. It is the first year of the Model 10. The earlier Model 05 had a door that was slightly lower than the top of the windshield. In 1981, some of the early 10s had the same low door. Later 10s had a door that was the same height as the windshield. What gave this away was the dashboard. The Model 10 was the first model that had the updated square dashboard. Earlier 05s had a small round gauge pod in front of the driver. So the combination of the square dashboard and the low door means this had to be a 1981 Model 10. |
