Otherwise, is a rather enjoyable (if a bit over-the-top, plot-wise) movie directed by Edmond Gréville in England, with a bit more money than for its French movies. Three actresses impress here: Carole Landis who took her own life too soon, and two one-and-half-movie wonders, Ruth Nixon who speaks her many French lines with a very good accent, and Carol van Derman extremely attractive. And Joe Calleia makes an ideal villain. Well, the two vehicles already there are time-tagged. I don't know what to do about the two others I posted in the precedent comment. |
