From collection of the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia. Not found on IMDb. Background vehicles: Pre-WWII car to the right. 1940s car, probably British. Racing car driven by Stan Jones, very likely Maserati 250F. Holden Special Sedan [FE] passing by on the left. Panel van car parked in the background. Some Austin or Morris probably.. Unknown background left for both thumbnails. From left to right: If in France, I'd say this "square box" 193Os car would be some Citroën 8/10 "Rosalie"... but probably not in Australia? rather some British similar car of the era , then indistinct black car in the far background, then another Ford Customline or somewhat, then a Standard Ten, a Morris/Austin LD (thb No.1 and No.2) and an Austin A30/35 (thb No.3) behind the Morris Minor already mentionned in the page. Parked on the left, unknown british car of the 50s. Unknown white car to the left. The light grey car in the background, a Standard Vanguard II I guess? Unknown sedan behind the Ford Consul MkI to the left. A second white Ford Zephyr Zodiac MkI to the left, unknown Panel Van car to the right, unknown white sedan behind in the background. On the road in the background, unknown dark colours cars, the one in the left might be a Vanguard I? Music and Youth... Youth depraved and delivered to itself by unconscious and lax parents... prone to car theft. Alcohol, Cigarettes, Jazz and Rock'n roll breeding ground for bad behavior... such is roughly the very conservative tone of this short propaganda film. The actors seem more like gentle lambs of the tidy petty bourgeoisie than terrible thugs. |
