Canadian locations according to imdb, but the XJ6 at least looks RHD. -- Last edit: 2012-02-28 05:27:24 |

The credits on the IMDB indicate that scenes were also filmed in Jamaica, which is right hand drive/left hand traffic. P.S. I have now submitted an update to add Jamaica to the locations entry. -- Last edit: 2012-02-28 10:50:04 |

Ten years late, but yeah, the scenes taking place in Jamaica definitely were not filmed in Canada. There is no place in Canada with flora and fauna like that. Apparently, these scenes were filmed in Ochos Rios, Jamaica; not far from Port Antonio, where Club Paradise, Cocktail, The Mighty Quinn, and No Time To Die were filmed. |

![]() Added some trucks seen during the opening, plus a background taxi seen when they first arrive in Calgary. I did source the screencaps from Disney+. Unfortunately some are a bit pixely as it takes a while to load and D+ has no option to change the picture quality. And some people wonder why I prefer videotapes to streaming *rolls eyes* This film is very loosely based on the Jamaican Olympic Bobsled team. Leon, Doug E. Doug, Rawle D. Lewis and Malik Yoba are great as our bobsledders but the best actor in the film is the late great John Candy as their coach, a disgraced former Olympian who is very reluctant to train our heroes but gradually warms up to the idea. There's a very good scene where he stands up for his team while putting himself on the line and John Candy sells the part very well like in every other film role he was in, despite seeming like an odd choice for the part. Rest in peace, John! If you're subscribed to Disney+ er have this film in your movie library, check it out! |
