Alexander ◊ 2006-05-30 00:44	Fritz Lang showed in his film what George Lucas quoted three quarter of a century later: Interesting to see what 'future' 80 years ago ment: traffic jam! This was filmed in a stop-motion-technique: Another idea which we have today is the video-telephone: At that time no one even used the word 'video', apart from Latin scholars. Here we see C-3POs grandmother: ... and some more pleasures for the eyes -- only for those of you who admit liking it... Remember, the film is 80 years old! I found one more vehicle, an electric cart, but hardly visible: And finaly I'd like to mention that this film is part of the UNESCO Memory of the World Register.

Alexander ◊ 2006-06-02 17:02	The original version had a length of 4189 m, which at 24 images per second means 153 minutes. The version reconstructed in 2001 by the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau foundation has a lenght of 117 minutes.

modell ◊ 2006-07-30 07:46	I have seen this movie before, and found it to be quite odd. Born in the wrong generation I guess... "C3PO's grandmother" must've been extremely advanced for it's time, as it is still futuristic-looking today!
