16 minute film about early 1970s demolition and rebuild of London Bridge station and associated track networks, taken from British Transport Films Volume 3: Running a Railway (2-DVD set); can be seen here. Despite some very good footage, film does its best to be really dreary and boring. imdb says 1961 for some bizarre reason, but it is 1975; other details on their page are correct. Stones of the old London Bridge are now part of a tourist attraction in Arizona, I think. |
